Sri Lanka is the largest producer of Orthodox tea in the world.Sri Lanka is currently the fourth largest producer of tea in the world. Our country is the third largest exporter of tea in the global export sector. ISO 3720 is the minimum standard for tea in Sri Lanka.


Sri Lankan tea growers and producers produce tea under the highest social and environmental standards following Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Production Practices (GMP). Tea processing factories for export are continuously upgraded and upgraded to meet the required technical and hygienic standards in line with international food safety requirements. Many Sri Lankan tea growers have consistently promoted adherence to strict agricultural standards and practices, especially HACCP, ISO 22000, Fair Trade, Certificate of Forest Conservation (FSC), ISO 9000, CQC, Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP), UTZ, Rainforest Alliance ( Certification is done including RA), Global GAP, SA etc. In addition to customers,

Exporters of tea products are authorized to use this Lion logo not only to meet certain legal requirements on the Lion logo scheme, but also to pass quality testing.
