                                    Ceylon White Tea is one of the rarest and most expensive teas in the world. The reason it is more expensive than other teas . Ceylon White Tea is made from the hand-picked silver tea buds of tea trees grown at altitudes of 2200 m to 2500 m in tea growing areas. Ceylon white tea is usually consumed without milk, sugar or honey. The Ceylon White Tea 250g usually sells for as high as $ 150. 

                 There are two types of Ceylon White tea,

1. Ceylon Silver Tips

                       This type is made up of small and unopened leaves that are silvery white in color. Harvested before sunrise, it can produce up to 1 kg of white, usually 5 kg of shoots. 

2. Ceylon Golden Tips

   

                     This type is made up of small and unopened leaves that are white to golden in color. These produce a very small quantity annually.

Ceylon White Tea Production Process

Ceylon White Tea production process is done in 3 steps

1)Harvesting

Selecting the perfect tea leaf buds and picking them by hand is the first step in making a white tea cup. Only 2.5cm curved tea buds of silver or gold color are used to make Ceylon White Tea.

2) Withering

Hand-picked fresh tea buds are hand-rolled and thinly sliced ​​to dry in the shade. 

3) Drying

As a final step, the tea leaves are dried in the sun to prevent oxidation and to retain their flavor as naturally as possible.
